Meet The Team

Meredith is an EMMY and National Murrow Award-winning journalist who anchors News 12 Live at 5/5:30. She joined News 12 in 2007 and is one of the founding members of our I-Team. You can watch her I-Team investigations on News 12 at 6 0'clock.

Richard Rogers is the anchor for News 12 First at 4, News 12 at 6 O'Clock, NBC 26 News at 7 and News 12 at 11 o'clock. He's been a member of the News 12 Team since October 1993 and has been in TV news since 1981.

Laura's mom says her follow up question to anything she was told growing up was, 'Why?' It's a habit that turned into a career. She continues to ask that question as an investigative journalist.

Liz Owens is an Emmy-nominated and Murrow award-winning investigative journalist with a passion for helping people in her community.

Ashley Campbell is Weekend Anchor and Producer at News 12/NBC 26. Ashley is no stranger to Augusta. She was born and raised in the Columbia County town of Appling. She graduated from Greenbrier High School (Go Wolfpack!) in 1999 and went on to get her BA in Mass Communications with a Minor in Theatre at Augusta University.

Zayna joined the WRDW team as an anchor and producer in June of 2020, and is excited to meet new people in the area.

Nick Proto joined the WRDW team as a multimedia journalist in June of 2019.

William Rioux is a multimedia journalist/producer and graduate from the University of South Carolina with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Craig Allison is a multimedia journalist/reporter for WRDW/WAGT who began his career in broadcast journalism working as a reporter, anchor and managing editor with James Madison University’s award-winning “Breeze TV.” The Virginia native also worked as a news reporter with the Harrisonburg Radio Group for WSVA News.

Will is a South Carolina native who grew up in Goose Creek, just outside of Charleston. He graduated from the University of South Carolina, where he received the journalism school's Outstanding Broadcast Journalist Award for Reporting. Will also won an award from the Society of Professional Journalists for his coverage of Election Day 2020.

Hallie is a Georgia native who grew up in Thomasville. She graduated with a B.A. in journalism and a minor in communication studies from the University of Georgia in May 2022.

Nick was born and raised in Marietta, Ga. He graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in journalism in April of 2022.

Audrey Dickherber joined the WRDW team in June of 2023 as a multimedia journalist. She graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism from the world’s first journalism at the University of Missouri in Columbia in May of 2023.

Maria Sellers joined the WRDW team as a multimedia journalist in November 2021. She is passionate about telling stories that make an impact in the community.

Sydney Hood grew up in Swainsboro, making her no stranger to the CSRA. Sydney interned for WRDW/WAGT during the summer of 2022. She joined the weekend team as a part-time multimedia journalist in August 2022.

Taylor Martin is a multimedia journalist and spring 2022 graduate of Kennesaw State University with a degree in Journalism & Emerging Media. She joined WRDW/WAGT in October of 2022.

Jamey Tucker has worked in television news for stations across the South for over 25 years. A graduate of Carson Newman University Jamey has worked as a news anchor and reporter in Huntsville, Alabama; Memphis, Tennessee; and Nashville, Tennessee. Jamey is one of the first reporters in the country covering the consumer technology beat.

First Alert Chief Meteorologist Riley Hale has loved weather since he was young.

First Alert Meteorologist Tim Strong grew up in Columbia, S.C and joined the News 12 team in 2005 from a station in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Ever since he was young, Mikel’s passion for weather and its effect on society has been undeniable.

Chris Still joined the First Alert Weather Team in January of 2022, but he is no stranger to the Augusta-Aiken television market. Prior to officially joining our team, he was Chief Meteorologist on NBC 26 from 2011 to 2016 and has filled in numerous times here on WRDW over the past few years.

First Alert Meteorologist Emily Acton grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and joined the News 12 Team in July of 2023. Emily started off her career in Dothan, Alabama, after graduating from Mississippi State University's award-winning Broadcast Meteorology program back in 2021.

Dan Booth was born and raised just outside New York City in Hartsdale, New York. He's excited to be a part of the Augusta community and tell stories that go beyond the X's and the O's.

Alyssa joined the WRDW/WAGT team in April of 2022 as a weekend sports anchor and multimedia journalist. An avid Cincinnati sports fan, Alyssa can be found cheering on her hometown teams when she's not at work.
