Harlem home is considered a total loss after flames erupt
HARLEM, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A home was considered a total loss after flames erupted late Sunday.
Crews were called at 10 p.m. Sunday to the fire at 1229 Louisville Road.
When they arrived, they say the home was fully engulfed in smoke and flames. Crews on the scene classified it as a total loss.
Emergency medical crews were called to the scene, but officials say no one was home nor injured in the fire. All firefighters were also reportedly unharmed while fighting the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Louisville Road was closed as crews fought the flames.
Columbia County crews also battled another fire early Monday in Martinez.
Around 1:15 a.m. flames were visible at the rear of the home at Riverwatch Parkway and Stephens Road, but soon the flames had been knocked down.
